Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, launched in 2020, is an action-adventure game that follows a superhero storyline, developed by Insomniac Games in collaboration with publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment.  It’s set in the same universe as Marvel’s Spider-Man (2018) and focuses on Miles Morales, a young hero learning to become his own Spider-Man while balancing everyday life and superhero duties. The story unfolds in a vibrant, open-world version of Manhattan, including areas like Harlem, during winter, where Miles must confront a power struggle between a ruthless energy conglomerate and a technologically advanced criminal faction. As he grows into his role, players experience narrative moments that blend personal challenges with action-packed missions and storytelling. 
In gameplay, Miles Morales offers web-slinging traversal, dynamic combat, and unique abilities that set him apart from Peter Parker’s Spider-Man. Alongside classic web attacks, Miles uses explosive bio-electric “Venom” powers and temporary camouflage, and can unlock gadgets and upgrades as the game progresses. On PlayStation 5, the game takes full advantage of the hardware with fast loading, enhanced graphics with ray tracing and 4K HDR visuals, immersive DualSense controller haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, and 3D spatial audio to bring New York to life. While the core mode targets smooth performance, a 60 fps option is available for more responsive gameplay.
